Riverglade Motorsport Park was founded in October 1977 by two school teachers, a dentist, a truck driver and a truck dispatcher who all shared a common interest: Motocross. The land was leased from Ernie Maclean, owner of Riverglade Speedway. The first Pro National event held at Riverglade MX Park was in 1982 and was dominated by Ross Rollerball Pederson. In 1983, Riverglade held an amateur National event. Pro National events have continued to take place at Riverglade with only a few years being missed. The track has continued to evolve over the years and has also undergone several changes in ownership with the current owners representing three decades of racing. Toys for Big Boys and Honda were sponsors from the beginning and continue to this day to support Riverglade in an even greater capacity.
